Steel Mirror

Hey old friend, it's not too late
There's another place around the corner
I've seen pictures so graphic they seem
But then my nightmare is another man's dream

So many lost souls so many broken faces
Erode as they may under cool outerspaces
Longing for something never obtained
Sucking the life out of their own remains

And the sunny sky was all that was anymore
We stopped seeing it's beauty for what it was for
A long awaited storm only settles the breeze
Until the sunshine is glowing through the trees

A picture, hanging in a gallery
Love that is gone - still a mystery
Vague views of meanings for life
There isn't any other life in sight
