About Love

I never sat by the river
To hear the sounds of the city
But then again, I never loved hate
There was too many not enoughs
And not enough of too many things
Don't remind me that it used to be great

So I cast aside everything special
And drew to me all that is worthless
Now I have a story that I can tell
After I give her the first kiss

I never held a job in the city
To sit and play flute in my garden
As it never seems to be what it is two days ago
I never called out a name
Of a person who I never knew
There's something that isn't missing - what it is, I don't know

About love about love
I forgot to remember what it was
What it was
Will it ever be like what it was
About love about love
Does anyone know nothing about love
