Broken Spoke

Broken spoke and the wheel crashed
My own tower and erb stashed
Cops caught me and I went to pay
The dues built up through my darker age
Teeth lying on the floor
Pick them up and hit the door
I don't want to leave this whore
But she don't want to pay no more
And the bail is the wheel
Spinning crookedly on the deal
I left the jail with five dollars
A broken spoke and faster hours
And the time is the shrine
Of the sun off of the gun
Gleaming dreaming seeming
So easy
Do it all over again
This time do it right
Spin wheel of fortune, spin
Into the end of another delight
And a dry brittle old smoke
With a wobble from a broken spoke
And with any luck, one more toke
Before the beer carpet can soak
